SweetDream is a household name in Malaysia and Singapore for over 30 years and all this began with our founder, Mr Tan Yok Chin's aspirations to provide the world with superior quality mattresses.
In 1978, Mr Tan Yok Chin was the first in Malaysia to import a spring coil machine from Switzerland and he established SweetDream Industrial Sdn Bhd to manufacture spring mattress.
We are consistently dedicated to enhance the superiority of our products through the use of high grade and sustainable raw materials and environmentally friendly process.
In order to control and maintain the superior quality of raw materials used for the manufacturing of our mattresses, we acquired a coconut husk factory in 1980. Following that, factories to process raw materials like natural coconut fiber sheet, polyurethane foam and others were set up. Since then all raw materials are sourced from within our group.
No toxic waste from our manufacturing process is released into the environment as we have a waste recycling plant within our manufacturing facility.
We ceased using Methlylene Chloride in the production of our mattresses in 1997 when Methlylene Chloride was discovered as a harmful chemical substance to the human body and was subsequently banned in Europe and the United States of America.
Our R&D Center, one of the region's most well equipped research and development center for bedding was established in 2007. This multi-million Ringgit facility uses the latest technology for new product development, quality control and product testing. The American Standard Testing Method (ASTM) was adopted to ensure stringent quality control for all our products.
By investing in the latest panel quilting machines from Germany, we achieved yet another milestone in the mattress manufacturing industry. We became the first and only mattress manufacturer in South East Asia able to personalize our mattresses for our customers.
